Overview

The Risk Management Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all administrative workers compensation (WC), auto and physical damages claims meet the established reporting and management systems standards set by MasterCorp. The coordinator will report to the Sr. Risk Management Analyst and will have a dotted line to the legal claims adjuster to provide administration support for all claims reporting, regulatory state requirements and procedures. Duties include maintaining strong communication channels with the department and operational teams to gather claim reporting information and adhering to reliability, performance and customer expectations.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field directly related to position or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experience with Subrogation, Project Management, Claims Intake or Risk Management
  • One to two years of experience in management of worker compensation, auto, and physical damage claims

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated effective communication via email, phone or in person with leadership and employees throughout the organization. Spanish a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products; especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with internal Risk Management team, insurance carriers and TPAs to ensure timeliness of incident reporting and to collect other details necessary for the investigation and resolution of WC and general liability (GL) claims. Information collected can include, but is not limited to, employee statements, pictures, police reports, third party contact information and any additional details relevant to the loss.
  • Develop and follow a regular schedule for incident review, data entry, follow up phone calls; must thoroughly document their incident handling progress and final resolution with the incident MasterCorp management system.
  • Review incident reports to investigate losses and seeks timely resolution of claims.
  • Follow procedures from SR. Risk Management Analyst and Legal Claims Adjuster to determine whether an incident shall be self-administered or reported to Carrier.
  • Secure and organize pertinent information collected during incident reporting and incident investigation and fully document incident handling and claim coordination progress within the MasterCorp incident management system.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with internal departments and external providers in order to achieve appropriate claim resolution.
  • Coordinate administration and claims processing for WC, auto, property, theft and loss claims.
  • Support on the analytical trends and provide admin support to create historical data reports.
  • Create detail spreadsheet reports with historical yearly WC and GL claims reports.
  • Supports the reduction of Workers Compensation, Auto and GL Claims.
  • Administration support for weekly and monthly average wages for our WC Carrier.
  • Participate in interdepartmental meetings once a quarter
