Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will be working with an Enterprise Architect and other Senior Software Engineers to build out significant portions of essential business applications and services. In addition, you will be writing unit and integration tests, investigating and fixing defects and helping to identify blocking issues. Eventually you will own a functional area and take operational responsibility for ensuring our business is performant and efficient.

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math related background
  • 0-5 years of experience in software development with a focus on C#, .NET and JavaScript
  • Understanding of relational databases, optimizations, indexes, caching.
  • Familiarity with SQL Azure databases and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations.
  • Experience writing and speaking about complex technical concepts to audiences in a simplified format.
  • Experience creating and managing back-end services.

 

Travel Requirements

 

Occasional travel. At most 2-3 days of travel every 3-5 weeks.

 

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.

  • Development of defined features and functionality that will run on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Create data schemas and leverage multiple mechanisms to store data.
  • Extend existing micro services and create new APIs and OData end points.
