The Senior Software Engineer owns the development and rollout for an entire product, or large project. Champions process (SCRUM, TDD, etc.), writes technical specifications and identifies risks before starting major projects. Sets standards and goes out of their way to reduce complexity. Takes additional technical lead responsibilities for driving an initiative to completion.


Experience and Education Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience; Computer Science or Math related background
  • 5-8+ years of experience in software development with a focus on C# and .NET
  • Expert experience with HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Single Page Applications using Angular, VueJS or React.
  • Deep understanding of relational databases, optimizations, indexes, caching.
  • Familiarity with SQL Azure databases and CI/CD processes.
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies.
  • Expert experience with Microsoft technical stack (MS SQL, Azure, .NET, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead effectively across organizations.
  • Experience writing and speaking about complex technical concepts to audiences in a simplified format.
  • Combination of deep technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within organization.
  • Experience creating and managing back-end services.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phone, copiers, faxes, and filing cabinets.

Essential Functions

  • Top to bottom development of applications that will run on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Create optimal data schemas and leverage multiple mechanisms to store data.
  • Monitor database and application performance and configure alerting for performance issues.
  • Extend existing micro services and create new APIs and OData end points.
  • Provide reporting and data visualization for exploration of business operations and financial performance.
  • Responsible for full stack application development
