  • Overview

    The Associate Engagement Specialist will be responsible for interviewing, hiring and onboarding new associates.  He/she will partner with recruiting to ensure proper candidate flow, will conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for the site.  A key responsibility is completing all the new hire paperwork and scheduling new associates for their first 2 weeks. 


    • Minimum two years of progressive responsibility as Lead Supervisor within MasterCorp or equivalent housekeeping leadership experience.
    • Experience Hiring, onboarding and coaching associates.
    • A proven track record of driving strong performance. 
    • Excellent decision making and organizational skills.
    • Good time-management & communication skills
    • Customer service savvy
    • 3+ years of successful housekeeping management experience in a hotel and/or resort environment OR equivalent degree in Hospitality Management or related field
    • Proven team building skills
    • Proficiency in interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training.
    • Resourceful in recruiting & training of staff
    • Applied verbal & written communications
    • Bi-lingual English / Spanish a plus

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for interviewing, hiring and onboarding new associates.
    • Responsible for training new Housekeepers and Supervisors on 7 Steps Processes and retraining associates not meeting Production.
    • Coach housekeepers and supervisors so they reach productivity standards.
    • Conduct weekly report cards for housekeeping staff.
    • Retrieve housekeepers to address any areas that need to be re-cleaned as well as supervisors regarding any areas that do not meet the company standard/
    • Provide feedback to the EH and AEH regarding under-performing team members.
    • Support overall site initiatives that drive associate engagement.
    • Responsible for the new trainer’s schedule-Approx. 2 weeks
    • Responsible for teaching our company and the client culture, standards and procedure.
    • Build a quarterly training program.
    • Make sure the new trainees have the right uniform and the right tools to perform their job.
