    Under the supervision of the division Legal Assistant/Paralegal and Corporate General Counsel, the Foreign Labor Program & Compliance Coordinator will work with human resources and operations managers to determine contingent staff needs to be filled by foreign labor associates through the Foreign Guest Worker and Student Exchange Visitor visa programs through the U.S Government.  

     

    This position takes administrative responsibility for the foreign labor recruiting process.This specifically includes direct oversight of J-1 visa (international students) and H2B (nonagricultural labor) hiring process, compliance with the State Department regulations. In support of said initiative, this role may also include some international travel.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree, BA or BS Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in a Legal, HR, Recruiting, or Project Management capacity
    • Direct experience with foreign labor programs, which must include at least J1 Student Visa or H2B Visa.
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook); experience with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred
    • Experience working in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment is highly preferred
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

    Essential Functions

    Some of the primary funtions of the role will include, but are not limited to:

     

    Program Management and Administration

    • Determine appropriate programs to fulfill staff request
    • Partner with HR field recruiting teams and operations leaders to determine contingent staffing needs and appropriate programs to fulfill needs (including relocation of workers, J-1 visa work & travel students, H2B workers)
    • Assist in the preparation of required paperwork for sponsor program approvals by required deadlines
    • Complete required sponsor check ins pre and post arrival
    • Work with Company business units to coordinate interviews, housing, arrivals and departure

    Programs Compliance

    • Ensure the reimbursements of any travel costs per Government regulation within first week of employee arrival
    • Ensure hours requirement is met for both J1 and H2B programs.
    • Manage processes to ensure compliance with all state & federal guidelines as well as visa sponsor regulations
    • Notify appropriate parties regarding early departures/termination/abscond or other notification events
    • Track and report cultural activities provided by sites
    • Coordinate, track and report arrival and departures of foreign labor associates to sites, including housing information
    • Provide and update important information to MasterCorp sites in preparation for arrival of J1/H2B associates (helpful documents, presentations, trainings)
