    Position Overview

    In this role, the Talent Acquisition Generalist will work with operations managers to determine contingent staff needs, seek necessary internal approvals, manage the recruitment processes, and oversee program logistics. This individual will also actively seek new initiatives to meet staffing needs of the field operations.

     

    Position Purpose

    The purpose of this position is to have primary responsibility for recruiting processes related to international recruiting programs, contingent worker initiatives, and worker relocation programs.  A key responsibility will include direct oversight of J-1 visa (international students) and H2B (nonagricultural labor) hiring process, compliance with the State Department regulations, and effectively oversee the onboarding process of the candidates to the field operation to ensure success of the program.

    Qualifications

    Experience and Education Requirements

    • Associate degree, BA or BS Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years professional experience in an HR, Recruiting, or Project Management capacity
    • Experience working in a multi-lingual, multi-cultural environment is highly preferred
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook); experience with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred
    • Experience in general Human Resources functions is preferred
    • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

    Program Strategy & Demand Forecasting

    • Partner with field recruiting teams and operations leaders to determine contingent staffing needs
    • Gather necessary internal approvals for requested staff
    • Determine appropriate programs to fulfill staff request (including relocation of workers, J-1 visa work & travel students, H2B workers, and/or other initiatives).

     

    Site Support & Logistics Management

    • Keeps effective and active communication with site leaders to ensure effectiveness and consistency of programs
    • Coordinate with site designees to ensure proper program preparation, execution, and compliance
    • Generate and maintain area resource guides that document contacts and housing resources for each area
    • Manage worker arrival processes and itineraries through coordination with sponsors, workers, and site management to ensure proper onboarding
    • Conduct site visits as needed to assist with worker arrivals, training, or special events
    • Ensure local leaders plan cultural activities for worker groups throughout each season

     

    Manage J-1 Visa Sponsor Relationships

    • Evaluate and select visa sponsors
    • Submit necessary paperwork for sponsor program approvals by required deadlines
    • Notify sponsors regarding student arrivals, disciplinary action, or termination/abandonment of job
    • Complete required sponsor check ins pre and post arrival

     

    Program Management

    • Ensure the reimbursements of any travel costs per Government regulation within first week of employee arrival
    • Coordinate trainings with operations and assist with the set up of shared websites for communication
    • Ensure hours requirement is met for both J1 and H2B programs.

     

    Programs Compliance

    ·       Manage processes to ensure compliance with all state & federal guidelines as well as visa sponsor regulations

    ·       Coach and train operations leaders in proper programs compliance

    ·       Notify appropriate parties regarding early H2B departures/termination

     

    Administrative

    • Submit job offer agreements and revise worker contract agreements as needed

    ·       Assist with all participant administrative, pre-arrival, arrival and program maintenance functions

    ·       Update HR with list of all information needed for onboarding new arrivals

    • Gather all necessary paperwork for filings
    • Coordinate travel with in house travel agent and designated agencies
