Overview

The Preventative Maintenance (PM) Manager is an entry-level or first level management position that assists in the management of the site PM operations, helping to meet quality standards and timeliness goals through the directing of team members and the inspection of rooms/supervisors. Ensures the rooms are properly and safely maintained. Oversees maintenance duties including but not limited to: repairs and maintenance in guest rooms (wallpaper, paint and furniture touch up, basic plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and electrical work. This position will help develop preventive maintenance (PM) standards and oversees implementation of the PM program).  Oversees completion of Preventive maintenance rooms daily by staff and reviews the quality of the work completed in the assigned rooms.

 

 

Qualifications

Experience and Education Requirements

 

  • Minimum two years of progressive responsibility as Manager within MasterCorp or equivalent experience as an Engineering manager or Chief Maintenance Engineer.

  • A proven track record of driving strong performance. 
  • Outstanding leadership skills. Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead teams, train talent and effect change.
  • Language Skills: Effective written and verbal English communication
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Work Environment: Working weekends, holidays and irregular hours.
  • Maintain a valid driver license and pass driver screenings

  • Exemplify a sense of urgency with PM staff to ensure all rooms get turned on time
  • Direct work of Supervisors and PM Techs
  • Manages client work schedules & project calendar
  • Maintains relationships with clients
  • Assist in training new Supervisors and Techs
  • Coach associates to reach productivity standards 
  • Conduct weekly report cards for staff
  • Conduct weekly MSI report of Supervisors 
  • Inspect rooms to ensure that quality standards are met
  • Retrieve Techs to address any areas that don’t meet the standard
  • Lead hiring, onboarding and training new hires.
  • Coach and develop underperforming team members
  • Conduct inventory counts, determine inventory needs and submit purchase requests
  • Unload inventory and maintain clean and organized storage areas
  • Report unit maintenance issues that are outside of the PM scope
  • Manage payroll for associates
  • Ensure completed work is properly recorded and billed to clients
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance logs
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure that team members follow day-to-day safety rules and procedures
  • Process workers compensation issues/reports
  • Assist in solving guest complaints promptly
