Overview

This position will be responsible for performing service and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, interior finishes, and appliance servicing while maintaining a safe and friendly environment. Additionally, this position is to determine if the required repairs or maintenance exceeds the skills, abilities, and/or time constraints of the technician.  If it is determined that an outside contractor is required, the technician is to determine the needs and make recommendations to manager to contract out the repairs/maintenance. 

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent, or G.E.D. certificate
  • 1-3 years of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Tech or similar skilled trade
  • Proficient skills in painting, tile, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, limited HVAC and drywall repairs.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude.
  • Maintenance experience with a resort and/or hotel experience preferred.

 

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must meet the requirements to receive a company driving permit
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow written instruction
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Complete maintenance inspections, repairs, and preparation of Company’s property.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance duties and repairs throughout the Company’s property.
  • Assist clients and associates in the resolution of maintenance concerns, complaints, and questions.
  • Drive and/or fly between MasterCorp owned sites to perform duties.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Any other reasonable request made by management.
