    The VP of Learning and Development is charged with creating and implementing training approaches to insure alignment of roles, responsibilities and resources to stated business goals, and to develop and align training and leadership development activities to achieve business objectives.

    Qualifications

    • Must have minimum 7 years management experience in large multi-site hospitality company
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field. Masters preferred

     

    Other Qualifications

    • Excellent project management skills 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including good grammar and writing skills 
    • Significant experience leading and developing professionals in a combination of General HR, Strategy Development, Organization Design, Leadership Development, Workforce Planning, Workforce Research, Change Management or related disciplines 
    • Strong business and HR acumen, including problem solving, and critical thinking
    • Communication---ability to adapt communication style to various levels within the corporate office and the field  
    • Build partnerships—identify opportunities and take action to work collaboratively and build key partnerships with functional leaders throughout the organization 
    • Detail and results oriented—able to lead self and others through completion of multiple projects 
    • Strong influencing skills—must be able to lead people to good decisions 
    • Adaptability—able to respond when business needs or priorities change 
    • Fiscal responsibility and experience managing to a budget

    • Lead Talent Development team, working cross functionally to insure all stakeholders are aligned and objectives are clearly identified. Through team, oversee the development of training programs to hit objectives. 
    • Work with Brand Leaders to understand business goals and deploys resources and tactics to meet the goals.
    • Oversee management development practice to create developmental path and learning activities to support internal growth of high potential managers and key contributors.
    • Lead activities to assess & diagnose organizational issues, ensure alignment of business goals with organizational designs, removing barriers or solving problems that interfere with goal achievement. 
    • Adopt leading-edge practices to continuously develop and enhance individual and team effectiveness while developing a knowledge management repository of tools, templates, and techniques.  
    • Develops or recommends solutions for areas of high business impact (i.e. functional design, roles & responsibilities, leadership alignment. 
    • Constantly strive to achieve better results and greater efficiencies.  
    • Develops measures of success in development to ensure continuous improvement in all aspects of delivery.  
    • Develops and delivers effective change management tactics to gain maximum benefit of process changes and initiatives. 
    • Develop and grow teams to produce quality results within challenging timeframes and ongoing change. 
    • Seeks best practices and incorporates them into company-wide standards.
