The Director of Business Development develops and implements sales strategies for all MasterCorp’s Commercial Services Division. This person also manages client relations with the senior operations leadership teams for the brands MasterCorp serves with particular focus on our “Blue Chip” clients. The purpose of this position is to secure new business contracts with new clients and the expansion of business contracts with current clients. The Director will collaborate with MCS’s executive leadership team and other business leaders in the selling of MasterCorp and its entities to the commercial services industry.



  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 10 or more years of experience in sales and/or business development in the Education, B&I and / or Healthcare industries



  • Proven capability to initiate high-level contact with clients
  • Clear written and oral communication
  • Skilled in project management, proposal writing, and relationship management
  • Able to effectively manage organizational change; comfortable with multiple/changing priorities
  • Driven with ability to work independently
  • Leadership skills especially influence without authority
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Extensive knowledge of Salesforce

Essential Functions

  • Represent MCS to potential and current clients by in-person meetings/presentations, conferences, or calls.
  • Formulate sales presentations and proposals.
  • Develop budgets and price estimates using MasterCorp and industry models.
  • Facilitate the collection of data and information to be able to develop pricing proposals.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop pricing models and pro forma analytics and to make decisions with regards to mergers, acquisitions, new business and additional services for existing businesses.
  • Track and report on the status of all proposal components.
  • Maintain a book of business and pipeline for all MasterCorp’s business lines in Salesforce.
  • Help support the maintenance of our CRM in Salesforce.
  • Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential issues, to stay abreast of potential new business opportunities and to continuously sell the value of MasterCorp’s services to our clients.
  • Lead and participate in client or potential client site visits.
  • Attend client events such as annual conferences, summits, ARDA, sponsored golf events, etc.
